Since I'm just wasting time on the computer I figured I might as well waste it and blog at the same time so I feel at least slightly productive. That's what happens when you can't play couronne anymore :( Last night was valentines, and of course I spent it with the girl I love most, Megan. We baked this awesome dual-layer devil's food cake from scratch along with frosting from scratch. Believe it or not, the cake actually turned out very tasty! We were too stuffed from chinese food to have more than a few bites though. I convinced her to rent 2001: A Space Odyssey, and I enjoyed it thoroughly but I'm not so sure about her. She was amused by many parts of it and frightened by others, but how was I supposed to know HAL9000 was that creepy to her? Oh well, I had to watch Everafter and a few other things over the past year. YEAR. Wow, one whole year of bliss... very cool indeed. Hopefully we'll experience another, and another, and another...
I found out about this really freaky animated movie called The Triplets of Belleville, and decided I should go see it. Megan didn't sound very enthusiastic about a french animated movie with no dialogue so I dragged Nathan along. The animation was superb, the soundtrack was catchy, and the storyline was pretty good (excellent if you consider the fact that there was no dialogue). I'd recommend it to anybody who's looking for something way different from anime or regular old disney stuff. It's only at madstone theatre (there's one across from Cary High), so uh yeah. Go see it!
Creedence Clearwater Revival is awesome. It's really icky outside with all of the rain and I'll explain megan's present situation. Haha, not like what is happening currently but her present, her cadeau if you will. We ordered it february 2nd because we thought with UPS that would be PLENTY of time. On friday it still hadn't arrived so dad called up the company and apparently they sent it via US mail (what the hell, what online retailer sends stuff through the mail and not UPS? NOBODY), and he pulled a few strings and had them send out a second one with UPS red shipping so it will be here monday or tuesday. Dad says if the first one ever shows up we have to return it, but I'd like to keep it so Megan and I have matching ones. Oh well. Valentine's wasn't a disaster though, chocolate and ducky sufficed.
Okay I'm done rambling.
